First week of June has been very profitable. Almost all the trades went according to plan. Thursday was quite hectic, plenty of news, mostly in the European area.
EUR/USD keeps dropping, althought the movement is very soon to be exhausted and we can expect a turnaround in the near future.
CAD/CHF has been rising for a few hours but just like the EUR/USD, price movement is exhausted.
The CAD unemployment rate published this morning created a huge up-spike in the CAD/CHF.
I made a mistake on Thursday and forgot to check the news and got caught up with those huge spikes created by those news, I have thus stopped taking trades until things switch around in order to keep my stats as clean as possible. Overall, account keeps growing and I have no doubt things will go back to normal. Patience and discipline has now kicked in, stick to your trading rules.
My home network keeps having issues with MT4, somehow disconnection still persists after re-working the network from scratch, implementing network load balancing and changing the maximum transfer unit(MTU) per packet in order to reduce potential overload. I am now going back to a VPS connected a few miles from my broker’s datacenter with a ping of less than ~20ms, ensuring no slippage, no disconnection which overall means that I can let my algorithms and my manual trade management takeover a trade without worrying of being disconnected and cashing in those profits as intended instead of checking every hour and hope it didn’t disconnect before it reaches my target profit.
